Other features of the Denon AVR-3802 include bass control, a headphone jack, as well as a second speaker boosting. Denon the True Emperor
I use it as stereo amp and drives 2 pairs of speakers. I 've never thought I had quality enough speakers, untill I discovered this beast. Oh boy, I was wrong...speakers feel alive and kicking and they sound like...different ones! I replaced an old Pioneer amplifier and never 'd have thought I 'd reach such kind of music levels. One of the few remaining in the market "Made in Japan". That explains everything. Raw pure power, unparalleled in every aspect of audio experience. What a beastie !!
Superb piece of kit. When I bought it I really had no idea just how versatile it really is. Worth every penny and I can even play all 3500 plus iTunes stored on my iPod. Working on aircraft engines and then lots of explosions caused damage to my hearing but the tones coming out of this and the Mission speakers I also bought means I can, once again, hear every word. Used in the garden as a surround sound amplifier with an assortment of good-to-high quality stereo speakers found on ebay. Perfect for this, as you can adjust the channel volumes individually. Sound quality is excellent, and as good as you could hope for for its current use - can't say what it would sound like in a cinema or similar, but I suspect it would be excellent, and very good value. They are actually relatively old now (for digital electronics), but you wouldn't notice using it, apart from its slightly 'retro' looks. It is quite sturdy, well built and exceptionally heavy. Mine came (second hand) with no padding in its packaging, and I suspect might have picked up a dent on the top on the way - but it turned on first time with no issue at all. DENON,THE REAL LOW DOWN!
This is the 3rd DENON AVR i've owned, and the first since going all HD. My reason is simple, THEY MAKE THE BEST. Clear sound, unrivalled build quality and comprehensive connections, make this the reciever of choice for me........but, make sure your Blu Ray spinner has 7.1 outputs so you can playback HD audio.
